Shaila Blue guarantees their puppies until they are one year of age against life threatening congenital diseases. The buyer must take their new puppy to a licensed veterinarian for a vet exam within 72 hours(excluding weekends and holidays) of receiving the puppy. If your veterinarian finds this puppy unfit on the initial exam, please contact us immediately and return the puppy for a full refund. Please include all papers pertaining to the puppy and the veterinarian's report. If the vet finds the puppy is acceptable, a copy of the veterinarian's report must be sent to the seller within 3 days of visit and will be kept on file here on premises. If we do not receive the initial vet report, the one year guarantee is null and void.

If within the first year of age, the puppy develops a life threatening disease, buyer must contact breeder immediately and send your veterinarian's report and if our vet agrees with the diagnosis, a replacement puppy will be given and will be shipped at buyers expense as soon as one becomes available. No money will be refunded. In the event of the puppies death within the first year, the buyer must have a diagnosis and necropsy done within 24 hours at their own expense and forwarded to seller. If the diagnosis is due to a genetic defect (heart, liver, or kidney failure), then a replacement puppy will be given as soon as one becomes available. No money will be refunded.

The buyer is responsible for all vet bills. Seller will not be responsible for any vet bills, hospitalization bills, or any other bills that have accrued pertaining to this puppy after delivery unless previously approved in writing by the seller.

Internal or external parasites, Bortadella (kennel cough), Coccidia and Giardia are not covered, as they can be treated by your vet.

Hypoglycemia is not covered as it is preventable with proper feeding, keeping the puppies warm enough, and giving Nutrical or Karo syrup to keep blood sugar levels up. Special care must be taken to assure your puppy is eating. Just putting food down for them is not enough, you have to monitor if they are eating it or not. Overbite or underbite, hernia, undescended testicles, or allergies are not covered.

Luxating patellas and trachea problems are not covered because they can be caused from injury. Seller does not guarantee the size, color, or temperament of the puppy as an adult. We can estimate what that may be, but it is just a guess. This puppy is not for resale and the contract is non-transferable.

I have read the above contract and guarantee and understand and agree to the terms as stated.   I understand that this puppy is sold with limited registration and it will not be used for breeding purposes and it will be my responsibility to have the pet spayed or neutered. I understand that I must take my puppy to a licensed veterinarian for an initial exam within 72 hours of receiving the puppy and I will send the vet report to Barb at Shaila Blue Yorkies to keep on file.  I understand that if I choose to not take my puppy in for an initial vet exam within 72 hours of receiving my puppy and a report is not sent to her, the one year guarantee is null and void. I agree to keep the puppy up to date on all shots and wormings.
